If you visit Iceland during the winter, you have to get a good look at the northern lights and there‘s no better way to do that than go aurora hunting in our comfortable Hummer (or other similar SUV/jeep). Since the northern lights are a natural phenomenon there‘s no way of guaranteeing any results of the aurora hunting but we use a network of aurora hunters to find the best spot at each time. We might have to drive between different places for a couple of hours in order to do this but you will be sitting in a comfortable SUV and your driver-guide will do his best to keep you entertained on the way. We will only go out to look for the northern lights if the conditions and forecasts look favorable and ultimately it's always going to be the clients decision whether we give it a try or not.
If our first try is unsuccessful and we don‘t see any northern lights, you will get another try for half the price the day after or the next time the aurora forecast is looking good.
If the forecast will be bad the whole time you are in Iceland and we will not go out and try at all, you will get a full refund.
For all these reasons we highly recommend that you get in contact with us before you book a northern lights tour.
Just like with any other trip with us, we highly suggest you send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org when you're booking the trip, just so we can make sure everybody is on the same page and we can make the most of our time together.
Duration: 2 - 4 hours.
We will pick you up at your accommodation in Reykjavík, Keflavík or anywhere near the city area, whenever you feel like it. We usually suggest starting around 21:00 but that can vary, depending on the conditions each time.
Included: If you choose and we have enough notice we will try to bring some hot chocolate and maybe some other refreshing beverages that might help keep you warm.
